Michael Andrew Fox OC, a Canadian-American former actor. He is an author, film producer, television director, and activist. He rose to fame after playing the role of Alex P. Keaton on the NBC sitcom ‘Family Ties’ (1982-1989).
Fox achieved his first recognition for playing a positive role of Marty McFly in the ‘Back to the Future’ film trilogy (1985 to 19990).
Career
After getting recognition on his first acting projects, Michael Fox appeared in ‘The Secret of My Success’. Later on, he made an appearance in ‘Casualties of War’ in 1980.
In 1996, the actor appeared in ‘The Frighteners’ for which he got huge acclaim. Afterward, he returned to the small screen and started giving brilliant performances on the ABC sitcom TV series including ‘Spin City’ wherein he played the lead role of Mike Flaherty’ started from 1996 and ended in 2000.
Also, Fox was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2010, along with being inducted to Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2000. In 2002, he was then inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
For his work advocating a cure for Parkinson’s disease, Fox received an honorary doctorate in 2010 from the Karolinska Institute. It’s a huge honor for him! However, the actor has made his extensive career by contributing to Hollywood cinema.

During his acting career, Fox won the five Primetime Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Grammy Award.
